Get Involved

Welcome Friends!

The Friends of the Orange County Library System was organized in 1947 as a group of citizens who wanted to support our libraries. The Friends raise funds for the Orange County Library System and educate people about the important role libraries play in enriching the community.

Friends of the Library are people who know that a community with a first-rate library is a better place to live. Friends bring together involved, caring people willing to work for an exceptional and innovative library. If you want to receive the latest information on how to support the Friends of the Library, please sign up for our Advocacy Alerts today.

The Friends is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.

Friends of the Library make it possible for the Orange County Library System to improve the quality and scope of its services.  Everyone should be able to enjoy the privileges of information access, entertaining events and education found in a great library system.

Mission Statement
