Mission Statement
To provide resources to augment OCLS’ programs through volunteer and member recruitment, bookstore operations, staff development, special event sponsorships, as well as serving as active ambassadors for literacy and community building.
Annual Events
Our signature event is the Lillian Louise Pharr Author Series, which was made possible by a generous donation from Orlando native and tennis champion, Roger Pharr, in honor of his mother.
Member Events
Throughout the year we hold special events that are exclusive to the Friends of the Library! From our seasonal book swaps to the annual Friends Appreciation Day, there is something fun for all of our Friends!

Meeting Schedule
The Friends of the Library Board of Directors meets at noon on the third Wednesday of each month. Locations vary, as the board meets at different library branches throughout the year.
